Java

This pandemic has forced me to find pleasure in the little things. The sound of birds in the morning, the smell of home-cooked food and the comfort of family. But the one thing I look forward to everyday is my morning cup of java by the window, and it gets me excited for the rest of the day. To me coffee is not just a drink, but an emotion. I’m passionate about trying different flavors and techniques of making this ‘elixir’. Hence, a display of my uninhibited love for coffee.

It's a dreary Tuesday,

Sitting by the window,

Clouds mask the sun,

Dewy drops cascade down the glass,

Warm mug ensconced,

In my shivering hands,

Strong, aromatic liquid,

Burnt sienna hue,

Laced with brown sugar,

Caresses my tongue and

Courses down my throat,

Filling me with warmth,

And the feeling

that I can conquer anything.

The best feeling one can have (although I wouldn’t recommend drinking too much coffee). Thanks for sharing! 😉
