A Haiku is a type of short form poetry originally from Japan. Traditional Japanese haikus consist of three phrases, with 5,7 and 5 syllables. Modern Haikus adeptly capsulate emotions and present them in a succinct verse. The main aim of a haiku, in my opinion is to convey a message or a feeling in a rigid, short structure.
Lately, I haven’t been feeling too inspired to write. With exams fast approaching and work piling on as we reach the fag end of the year – life isn’t at its exciting best! But what I have learnt is to face the not so good times head on as well, as I believe that they pave the way for a better tomorrow. Although it sounds like a resignation, I prefer the word acceptance. I now find solace in acceptance.
Tried to be happy, Now I embrace the chaos, It is what it is.
